Props to USE also. £18.50 bill to fix my Strada including postage, seems fair to me. Also just down the road from my mum, so that's nice

Maybe they forgot to send me the bill ha
-

Maybe your light is still in warranty? Or the fix was super simple. They contacted me to get the go-ahead and take payment before doing the work

3 years old.
I dunno. But good service. -

Exposure: I've sent them a light before with no proof of purchase, no form filled in, just a request to fix it and send it back to me.....Came back fixed. Best customer service I've had from cycling company....

Anyone know a good light that does the full on plus extra bright blinking thing?
EDIT: by which I mean the light is on static, and does brighter blinks.
I bought a cateye one a year or so ago as all my mounts are cateye, but accidentally got the german one that doesn't actually blink, and now they no longer exist.

Exposure TraceR

My flare does that. It's fucking bright.

Put a little blinky next to your main light, problem solved.

The Light and Motion Urban series do a sinusoidal-type flash which works pretty well.

knog road blinder does this......... part of its cycle of modes as it has 2 separate LEDs

I had to call them and pay my bill before the work was carried out, but it was only £12 including first class signed return for a very out of warranty light!

My favourite light manufacturer is offering a rare 15% discount right now.

These lights are solid. I've own 2 over the course of 15 years and still don't need another. They are one of those companies that sell a product so good you wonder how they are still in business as there is never a need to replace, maintain or upgrade the thing. The only reason I purchased a second years ago was that they had shifted from halide bulbs to LEDs and my halide had finally failed to strike and an upgrade seemed wiser than a bulb replacement (which they do sell)... the LED lamp has been rock solid and perfect in all conditions and has been great in cyclocross in woods during winter nights, as well as fast Surrey Hills in the deep of winter, and just commuting.

I like that they do the brightness comparisons against a Ferrari 485 Italia on full beam...

How can I extend battery life of exposure diablo? Exposure sells a battery pack does anyone have any experience with these?
-
• #4542
does this work with mudguards? Thinking of getting one so I can turn my light upwards more and light up the road further into the distance. Does it allow for better coverage than handlebar mounted lights?
secondly - good rear rack mounted light, bright as poss, battery or usb?
-

Friend took a couple of those with him on the Tour Divide, rated them highly.
Batteries in Exposure can be replaced too if you think original unit has lost capacity.
-
• #4545
Yes, he took those, unsure which capacity but I'm probably going to see him at the pub later in the week if you have any specific questions.
You can also get the light's internal battery replaced by Exposure (or there is a DIY guide to do it somewhere...)

fucking cunts and there fucking 10000000 lumen rear lights set to strobe, swear down i get into more almost accidents because of them than cars atm
-
• #4547
Fight fire with fire, and lazer them in the eyes?
-
• #4548
Yeah agree. Strobes are not cool after dark has come, and definitely not in unlit (no streetlight) areas. In low daylight conditions might be OK, but yeah, I'm not a fan either. I have stopped someone once to explain. Riding towards them on an unlit road was almost impossible.

I rode down a street the other night past a guy with three separate flashing front lights, and a flashing helmet light, and a forward-facing red light as the cherry on the cake. Told him he was going to give someone a seizure, he told me to "grow up"
I'm not the one playing dress-up as a fucking disco ball, muppet #csb

What rear lights can mount nicely to the stays rather than the seatpost? I'll have a seatpack on which means seatpost is a no-go.
I like the look of the exposure TraceR but not sure if the mount is compatible. Don't want to bodge it on - a properly secure mount would be nice.
Ok. Fair play to USE.
Sent my light to them, waited for a bill.
Light arrived back a few days later with no bill. Repaired and a new charger cable too.
Goood customer service goes a long way. I'll be buying use again.
