Ok, I can see it's fairly thick steel but I'd be inclined to make the bracket with a 90° bend instead of a weld, just an engineering principle of having a weld take the stress of the bikes fulcrum and vibration. Do you reckon the forks will be OK with stress perpendicular to how they're designed? Should be fine but I get scared with carbon witchcraft...
Don't mean to be negative btw, it's an ingenious fit, I'd just put some support padded bracket under the topbox mount that 'takes the weight' (i know that's probably only 6kg of biek!)
