  • a queue out of the door of Pandora comprised mainly of 35 year olds wearing Superdry?

    Is this English?
    Superdry? Drier than normal dry?
Pandora, the one who opened the box? No?
    I'm 56, is the above what 35 y o speak?
    #confused

  • Superdry is Japanese for wanker. Fact.

  • My girlfriend explained...
Pandora = jewellers specialising in charm bracelets
Superdry a fashion label that chavs wear

    Get it now...

  • I've never really gotten 'bikepacking' and photos like this...

...make me think you could have whipped 4 panniers off your bike, had your tent set up, the fire started and tea half cooked in less time than it'd take to undo half of the straps on all those bags.

The idea that bikepacking allows you to ride a bike unencumbered by racks after you've set up camp seems like horse shit since front and rear racks could easily mean less than a kilo of additional weight but the unpacked bikepacking setup would leave you with a bike with no reachable (while riding) bottle cages and enough awkwardly positioned 'anything' cages to comb half a forest out as you ride through it.

  • I think a lot of it has to do with "social media one-upmanship" but in the process taking the enjoyment out of touring by riding something that would handle like a fridge strapped to a skateboard.

  • I've tried both avenues. Which gets more Instagram points?

    vs.

  • I'm guessing both would handle better than the "highly functional, but grossly overloaded" tourer in question.

I would vote for the 'Dale...coz rad paint, and much fun

  • Easily the time machine

  • That 'dale is making my cock fizz a bit

  • Perfectly placed threads, for me.

  • Weirdo

  • If you like music, it's probably that you just haven't heard the type of house music you like yet.

Foe every genre, there's usually something for everyone - it's finding the way into it.*

*Although I do understand there may be exceptions.

  • Oof that's fighting talk

  • Easily the time machine

It's been languishing in the bike room for probably the last six months, I'm now feeling freshly motivated to service/change a few things and get out on it again.

650b advice required in the project thread.

  • Caring about what people think.

  • I call bullshit.
Depends on your definition of "people", perhaps.

  • People who bid early and small on ebay items.

  • I have a wheelset with 1.75" sleek gravelkings if you want to try

  • I've always done that. It puts the item there at the top of my page when I open it up and then I can manually snipe in with a few seconds to go.

  • I like to do that on items with stupid Buy It Now prices, mainly to piss off the seller, as it cost them to list the item as both an auction and BIN

Yes pls, I'm back in the UK on the 20th

  • Isn't that what the 'watching' thing is for though? I guess you probably get more alerts but in the case I'm looking at (and not unusually) people are doing multiple small bids with 6 days to go!

  • Hah! Well there's another thing I don't understand - listing as both.
