I commuted for an hour in rain yesterday and reached home dry and warm in Rab, really good jacket that .. kinda like PTJ but for commuting.

how do these jackets compare to the insulated brevet jacket?

different stuff .. fit, insulation etc. these are maybe a pricey but nice version of the uniqlo but with Rab's own insulation instead of feathers .. I paid £80 for mine which is quite cheap for a quality insulated jacket, next step up is Arcteryx.
