Couple of weeks for me, maybe a bit less.

Cheers. Ordered some. Pedal stroke has lost smoothness going from oval to circular, hopefully this fixes things.

Good question, not sure why they've gone from 16 to 4 percent, but the 'doval_su' seller on eBay (seems to be doval themselves) were/are selling them via auction rather than buy it now, so got them a fair bit cheaper than they would've been otherwise. Thought it was worth a try.
Not sure if it's just marketing crap to sell more rings, but they came out with the 'doval for clipless' shape and the ultra low ovality in pretty quick succession.
I haven't tried dovals on the Brompton. Might do at some point if they sell them via auction, rather than full price...

Out of interest, which did you order?
-
• #56
The exact ones that you did above.
I was wondering, are the graphics laser etched? Wonder if they could be acetoned off.
-
• #57
I think I remember seeing a promo video with lasers doing it. Could be wrong. I've not tried removing them, it's always handy to have a reminder to eat more sugar on my chainrings.

Dovals arrived in less than 2 weeks from order date. Not bad. Now to install and see if they're any good on the bike.

Initial feedback is that they feel natural to ride and I thought it was easier to pedal thus making me faster / less tired.
I replaced Shimano Ultegra 6800 50t/34t with Doval 50t/34t 16.5%.
Seeing it felt easier to push pedals around, I would have gone for a 52t Doval. The quality is lesser than OEM Shimano but that is to expect when you spend 55$ on a pair of chainrings.
I could feel a slight flex (with slight FD rub) when off the saddle pushing hard so I suspect that if you make serious watts, these won't be good for you. -

Found similar. And mine have worn out almost totally after 1500km. Won't buy again.

Worth noting that they do not come with chainring bolts so you will need to have 4x as the original Shimano one are not compatible

I have been following Doval on social media and they've recently released a new "non-circular chainring named 5G NANO.
It looks pretty much circular - they even have a BCD 144 track version, perhaps @mdcc_tester can tell us the merits of it...
Anyway, I have purchased the new 5G Nano from their eBay store, quality has certainly improved and the chainring spacing plate is now alloy instead of marine MDF.
I went for the 52/36 version as it felt easier to pedal than normal on the 50/34.
Price wise, only 39$ posted, that's about £29 and they even chucked in an "old" 3G chainring for comparison.Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/263176294472

They "chucked one in"? Haha dibs

I've just fitted one of the "5G" sets (52/36 too) to my new old Bob Jackson. Got that with the extra "2G" chainring, supposed to be equivalent to an Osymetric. I'll give it a go at some point once I get it built up.

They call it package deal - here is a link to one that's live:
Remember that you also need to purchase 4x double chainring bolts if you want to fit those on 5800 / 6800 chainsets.

Read about this today, very interesting concept and some impressive claims in terms of torque gain.

After moving houses, I have misplaced the "new" 5G Nano chainrings purchased 2 years ago so went to check Doval and they've released a 6G.
They call it Hyper Oval but the untrained eye would think it is, in fact round.
Ordered today so should roll in the new year. Price was just a tad below £30 with postage via an auction instead of the "full listing price".

Thanks for the heads-up.
It might have been your purchase that alerted me to these two years ago.
looked at the Doval site a few times but never saw the prices others claimed.
Just won an auction for a similar price to yours.
Simultaneously an early and yet late Xmas present to my aged knees. If we ever meet, say at Forum Compass drinks, I owe you a pint!

It's an Xmas miracle.
The Doval chain (non-)rings have already arrived.
Well done Doval and the postal services of South Korea and the 'Royal' Mail. -

And less than 3 weeks later, my new Hyper Oval 1603 Doval 6G chainrings have arrived!
Looks circular to the naked eye but what do I know...
I have also ordered some Osymetric bolt covers which should look nice with my Dura-Ace R9100 chainset.

Also might be of interest for those on here
I was looking for bolt covers for non-circular rings for my DA R9100 crankset and the choice is limited to AbsoluteBlack covers at £39.99 which are CNC alloy or the Osymetric ones which have an ABS plastic cap over an alloy sleeve.
Less fancy but £12.50 posted from eBay.

Continuing my monologue here.
The bolt covers (so either AbsoluteBlack or Osymetric) are not directly compatible with Doval chainrings as effectively you fit they the "other way around".
Doval recommends that you standard double chainring bolts that fit like they do on a classic chainset. The female-threaded “outer” part has a standard external diameter of 10mm while "inner" part is a male-threaded M8x0.75mm.
This means that the outer chainring has lips onto which the bolt would sit on so that lip would need to be removed to fit.
Hopefully photos will make more sense. I used a dremmel type tool and it took 5 minutes all in.

How long did they take to come from that seller? Says a month which seems ages to me. Would rather fess up for rotor.
