I went from 105 10 speed to ultegra 11 speed and the difference was night and day.
11 speed thus far has been crisp, reliable shifting and quality feel. My old 10 speed 105 would never reliably shift for long before needing adjusting, cables fraying inside the shifter and so on. Was crap even with fresh cables.
I think planet x had/has r685s shifters and calipers for £370 ish.
