Let their tyres down. It's not like any of them will have a foot pump to hand.

I hate Christmas.
I'm honestly trying to be civil to everyone, but the nearer I get to the deadline of actually leaving London to go and do the family festivities thing, the more tempted I get to pull a sickie.
I have actually done it a few times, and it's much better on my own at home with a takeaway, but my parents are getting on a bit now and I know I'd feel terrible if it turned out I missed their last one.
Still, I know I'll sit in a corner, or even in another room, not talking to anyone. -

Bring your kids to work day

You don't even have kids. Am not sure which is worse, other peoples kids or your own embarrassing you. Went to a good pub yesterday with my dad, my sister and her kids. The only person bothered by my nephews behaviour was my sister and you could see her getting stressed.

I'm sat in a locked room avoiding other people's kids.

Aversion therapy?
Go to soft play, then realise that nothing can ever be that bad.

Everyone's coming to ours for christmas and we own the only young child in the family. It's going to be a house full of relatives all clamouring for the attention of one 2 year old, as they're all basically obsessed with her.
I can feel the cold dread creeping up my spine. Will need more whiskey and whisky.

Just made the phonecall, I'll go and see them on Boxing Day instead, maybe, no sense in spoiling everyone else's mood by being miserable.
Now I just need to go out and get ingredients for the mother of all fry-ups. -

Pretty sure that picture is worth a lot more than a dollar.

A little bit more, yes. Also, that's almost definitely a legal wall, so not a crime in the slightest.

chris grayling, the man is a grade a cunt. Having to listen to him on the radio blaming the unions and network rail for the problems with southern rail, basically everyone but Thameslink.
-
• #8619
and have to admit that rail privatisation is a fucking disaster?

He's doing an OK job (if you're ideologically opposed to publicly owned infrastructure).

lines starting with a 'greater than' denote quoted text
I read that as 'blaming the unicorns' and got very confused as to what the unicorns had to do with the rail network.

Pointy headed obstructive bastards, with their notions of workers' rights, collective bargaining, and fairness in employment
