I am beginning to come round to the seemingly ridiculous idea of these bieks. I think my last chance of keeping my Eddy Merckx is to convert it and persuade wifey to ride. Is easy way to convert 9spd Campag to flats or are down tube shifters best option?

Thanks for replies. Yes would prefer indexing, is there anything modern for Campag 9spd or only old DT shifters if such a thing exists, I've never had them?
