  • Due to the crap weather tomorrow evening I decided to take the new(ish) gal to the shop and hopefully it be ready tonight for her maiden voyage.

  • That shop seems very familiar.

Regarding a DA lockring. Did you check inside the sprocket box?
Got one spare unused somewhere, as it came with a sprocket, and I used Profile hubs and lockring at the time.

  • Got one last night from Condor.

I did get one from the wheelset, however, I prefer the look and quality of the DA over the free crabon lockring.

  • So a tiny hiccup, there seems to be a piece missing which holds the seatclamp in place which should have been inside the frame.

My mechanic will hopefully phone up the look distributor tomorrow to see if they have the spare part =(

I'm a little bit annoyed that this has happened, but I guess this is what happens when you buy second hand. I have emailed the seller to ask where is the part of the seatclamp and hopefully he has it and I don't need to order it.

Long story short, I won't be riding my Look this week =(

  • Gutted for you, I was scrolling down hoping this update had the fully built photo.
    So close!
    Sod's law isn't it really.

  • I have a sneaky pic from the mechanic of her current condition:

  • Its fine for instagram!

Were you actually going to ride it!?

  • It's probably in the thread somewhere but what specific races are you planning on doing this season?

  • What a beaut!
Easily one of the nicest looking bikes out there.

  • I was going to ride it home at least, but it's mainly either going to the track and back.

  • Herne hill, lee valley, rad race and nocturne.

But I'll focus on getting my fitness and core/leg strength back before I start to race again.

  • Cheers, just a pity that I can ride her tonight, but at least it will be ready for the track season.

  • But I'll focus on getting my fitness and core/leg strength back before I start to race again.

Riding back home without sitting down would be a good core workout.

  • Less race talk more hashtags pls

    Who are your sponsors?
    Whats gram to likes ratio?

  • True, I think also the mind set of riding a brakeless fixed gear bike again.

  • #doyoueventrackbro

No sponsors dude, just me getting back to riding and racing on the track again is good enough for me.

Gram? just long as it's track legal is good enough.

  • Track Season is already at week 8

  • Meh, in my eyes it starts in April

    #hernehill

  • This is mad.

  • Looks so badass.

  • A quick update:

So apparently there were two different types of L96 built (who knew?) and one design feature that was changed was the seatclamp, I phone up the look distributor and they has to me to take some photos for them to send them to look hq to see which type of seatclamp is required. The one they thought I have should include two holes at the top of the seatpost but this one doesn't.

So long story short, hopefully we will get a response back from look to clarify which l96 model this is and if they have the spare part for my bike. Most likely this bike will probably be finished by the end of the week (hopefully)

  • I haven't even turned a pedal...

  • Any news from the guy who sold you the frame?

  • He said there is a spacer missing and he will send that over asap, but I'm not too sure that will fix the problem, but let's see.
