How very dare you!
There's no regulation prohibiting it, and it would be churlish for anybody who uses 165s every day to complain about your 150s without also conceding that he has obtained an advantage over the man who didn't want to change down from his usual 180s just for one day.

Only time Tester has beaten me since my first season he was on short cranks.

Probably. But I've got a set of Stronglight track cranks here that I'm going to machine down to 140mm now I've made myself the tooling for shortening cranks.
