Help please, ive managed to find some Sidi Genius 5-Fit Carbon Road in my size (50, bloody yeti ) ive got a pair of specialized mtb shoes (49) that fit well. Is the sizing for sidi roads tight? I know my moto-x sidi boots were also a bit on the smallish side too.

Sidi sizing is generally stingy in my experience. Size up.

Agreed.

Can you measure the length of your feet? There are sidi size charts with length of foot in cm vs shoe size about. I used it before and it was spot on for both my wires and my eagles

Sidi 52s are massive, size 16/17 UK. I'm a size 15 in converse, size 50 sidi (quite tight), size 49 in bont shoes. Was a 51 or 52 in Shimano spd shoes, 52 a bit big, 51 a bit small.

Just for fun, sidis are also have a thin width, so if you have any sort of slightly wide feet you might need the M (mega) sizing.

Oh and if anyone's after a pair of size 52 Sidi Genius 5 (might be mega, can't remember), let me know. I've got a black pair BNIB that were a good deal, but they're way too big for me.

Additionally, an increment in euro size of 1 is equivalent to 5mm. So you can extrapoloate to get the length for size 50 etc
Size 48 is 290mm. So 52 would be 310mm. You would want a bit of wiggle room for socks so if your 310 measurement is accurate, I would aim for 52.5 or 53.

I'm not sure that can be right. I've got Bont Riot size 49. Their size chart says the 49s are 320mm (last length) and to allow 2-4mm longer for your feet. They fit my feet perfectly.
The Sidi Genius 52s I've got are about 1.5-2cm too long for my feet. The Sidi Eagle 50s I've got fit me fine, but could possibly do with being a little wider at the toes.

Ah no worries then :) If anyone else is interested, I'd only be after the £30 I got them for.

So you're saying the difference between sidi size 50 and 52 is 1.5-2.0cm !? I don't think that can be true.
-
• #1422
There's a huge difference, seriously. I seem to recall it being almost an inch. Basically tried them on, LOLed at how massive they were then put them back in the box and chucked them in a cupboard (I'd got them sent to my parents and didn't visit until it was too late to return them).

Yeah, I'll see if I can dig them out tonight and measure how much toe room there is for sure. I couldn't believe the comparison between them and shimano for size 52, the shimanos were a little bit loose on me, but I still wore them for a year or two, the sidis would've just flopped off my feet first time I rode in them, they were yuge.
Edit: @nudly, as you're in australia, I'd consider looking at Bonts, way better fit (for me) than Sidis and they're based in Aus, I think?

Aside, some good deals to be had on sidi range in january sale here
OMG.
The Sidi Tiger's are amazing.
Worth the money? Who knows. It's all diminished returns after £100 but these do rock.
