+1 on Arkose (own arkose 2) achieves exactly what you want for a lot less cash.

I've got a specialized sequoia (base model) which has 12mm through axles and takes mudguards....for £1500, you'd get the next model up, so steel frame, carbon fork and better groupset....I really like mine!

Edit any opinions about the Mason bokeh? Seemed really good apart for the price and it being aluminum.

The best part is that the gearing is spot on for gravel/mountain.
36t cassette and 32t chainring is plentiful when the going get tough.

Such a nice looking bike

It is a very stiff bike for a cyclocross/adventure bike and the ride is a bit harsh. But the 40c tyres do help get rid of it. Havnt felt too uncomfortable yet and my largest ride on this is 100k with road, off road and Cx
@BareNecessities thanks dude, it's got a new seatpost with more set back and more post (cut the ritchey down too much) so now it fits like a gloves.
New wheels incoming too

Morning, everyone,
If anyone's looking for an O.G. gravel frameset, there's one for sale now, with or without some goodies to it too.

lynskey cooper cx?

Had a look at that one and it looked good for my needs, but then lynskey gr250 is about to get stocked at fatbirds.co.uk and was told to wait to see how they are. Cdf Ti looks great as well. Just can't decide at the moment, too many choices but no way to try them out for a demo ride..

Here's mine. Still working through some teething issues.
If anyone's keen for mindless rides, I pretty much am always up for them.

Oof. So hot right now.
I've got a swiss cross disc and can vouch for it being ace to ride, but it doesn't like fenders (no mounts, and the brake cable routing makes clip ons like raceblades difficult too). Not impossible to resolve, but worth bearing in mind. It is great fun to ride though.
When I was looking at buying this, the Mason Resolution was my other option. If you can afford it / it isn't too fancy for day to day use (why I didn't get it in the end) I'd go for one of those, should be plenty of clearance and tough enough for towpath type riding.
