The following is probably only a pearoast of what I've said in this thread earlier, but a commendable wish to consider the opposite view is too easy to exploit by any news franchise that have a ruthless billionaire owner or autocratic president they need to please.
Instead a debate with differing views on how, and to what extent, we are damaging the climate, we've had ten years of the news tricking people into thinking that someone saying "it's not happening at all" represents a valid opposite view to the scientific consensus.
