  • Had it in Edinburgh on tap. Not seen it down here sadly.

  • Happy new beer everyone

Kat have you seen my message about the Struise beers?

    Cheers

  • Just seen it :)

  • There's a lot of moaning on twitter about them not doing cask anymore but can't blame them. It takes a lot of time and effort only to be sold at a dirt cheap price and sometimes not cellered well. At the end of the day they are a business.

  • CAMRA won't be happy I guess?

  • Will head to the brewery next weekend I think.

  • Marble Black Sunshine.

  • Any tip top saison recommendations? Burning Sky have been good to me so far and a couple of bottles of the Double-Saison from La Senne were enjoyed amidst a generally dark selection of beers this christmas.

  • Any of the brew by numbers ones, saison dupont, lost and grounded saison d'avon, kernel biere de saison and the old kent rd brewery one.

  • How does Brockley get two cheap bottle shops and Lewisham is still dry as fuck.

  • Barman at Partizan is looking to open a bottle shop. Originally planned on Brockley but now looking for an alternative location so maybe.

  • Picked up 4 cans of Alchemist Focal Banger today. It's excellent.

  • For those in the Green Lanes area, the Harringay Local Store http://harringaylocalstore.co.uk/ has a decent range of London beers. Probably 30 or so different ones with regular new stuff appearing.

  • Where did you get them? Only seen them on sale via the Mikkeller website.

  • From a friend that had ordered a case via Mikkeller. I'll be on the lookout/would be happy to group a purchase if they do something similar again

  • Anyone else pick up tickets for the Beavertown event in September? Looks like it'll be the best of the London beer festivals this year

  • I am going on the Saturday

I'm after the Mikkeller Nelson Sauvin cans when they go on sale

  • Black Sheep's Glug M'Glug is tasty...

  • Heading down on the Friday in the slightly unlikely hope that it'll be a tiny bit quieter and the queues will be less severe.

Just saw that MK's bottle shops have stocks of a couple of the Mikkeller single hop series

  • Are any British brewers doing bargain bin impressions of Belgian Trappist monsters?

  • Are any British brewers doing bargain bin impressions of Belgian Trappist monsters?

These Monks?Local brew. Made from the 1890's to present day.

  • ^ Ha

Mad Hatter have done a few decent quads and tripels. Buxton have done a Belgian series but it's not bargain bin. Ilkley do a nice Fig Dubbel which is mega cheap.

  • I'll have to track down the Ilkley Fig one as they are in my neck of the woods.

  • Thankyou as always for The Knowledge
