I don't know anything about that chap sorry. I wonder why he left, he'll be missed.

• #903
You not doing your job properly!
-
• #904
If using the forum was my job I'd be pretty shit at it :P
I finished for Christmas at 3.30 today anyway.
Wasn't this one of his?
https://www.lfgss.com/events/1197/newest/To be fair it's quite hard searching for threads when you can't really remember any he started or search by username.

The correct and wittier response to that would have been "That's what my boss says...".
We'll have to have that Westmalle/Pitmason after Christmas by the way.

does the forum now delete threads started by a user when their account is deleted?
I think their posts are owned by a special user, called 'deleted'. TV started the EU referendum thread for example, and now it's owned by deleted.
Maybe events, as a special type of post, just die?
More annoyingly my PM's to folks who have pressed the nuclear button are now all between myself and 'deleted'.

Ta. Yeah I sort of knew that and just checked that was still the case, but if you put 'essex loop' into the search and click on the results what's going on there?
Oh, events. Yes that would make sense. That's still a big shame though as there have been some classic rides where it would be a real shame if the whole thread got nuked.
@Velocio ? Can you make events not disappear like that as events are rides and rides are important?
-
• #908
Yeah. That sucks. I get post / event not found.
Like chasing a ghost.
-
• #909
Yep. Pitmaston season is over. If you really there might be a few apples still knocking around.
-
• #911
:/ people used to just stop posting, what's with deleting accounts?
-
• #912
Permaflounce
-
• #913
ahem
-
• #914
You didn't get yours deleted, so not a permaflounce.

• #915
I miss it too much. Been a stranger for so long lost my panache

I miss Moon.

• #917
Has the moon died as well!? #fuckyou2016

• #919
He's now a chef in Africa...
-
• #921
He's still posting on various other places ( Facebook, Instagram, Strava )
-
• #922
Oh...
Well as long as he's OK then: I was concerned something untoward might have happened.
-
• #923
That's a shame, I always enjoyed his posts.
TV specifically aside though, does the forum now delete threads started by a user when their account is deleted? His Essex loop threads come up in search but now seem to be totally gone.
This seems like a flaw. There are many threads which the forum would be worse without and if they can be nuked by the OP deleting their account that doesn't seem like a good thing...
