Hi guys,
I have a question:
I have installed the BB and the cranks, but tried spinning it and it feels a bit tight. Maybe I don't understand how this type of BB works, but being used to Sugino 75 BB that almost spins continuously-forever :), I am a bit disappointed.
Is this how its meant to be ? Or it needs to wear ? It can barely do more than 2 revolutions when pushed ?
Note:
-I didn't overtighten the cranks.
-I have added greases inside the BB shell and a bit on the crack axle before putting in.Update: Had a quick chat with a friendly mechanic in my local Evans(went to pick up a front derailleur hanger) and he told me that this is how it supposed to be when new.

That black groupset doesn't work at all does it. Wish ultegra would come in grey :(

Don't give up hope. Just wait till the bike is all put together. I'm sure it will look good.

Re wheelbuilder in SW London try Elswood cycles in Putney. They built a lovely set for me

Looking very nice. Nice silver bar/stem combo...are you going to fit a silver seatpost as well?

Yes, silver seatpost. I have a nitto crystal lying around which I will use for now.
Silver rims as well.Making decent progress. I am waiting for gear cable housing and wheels and should be finished this week with a bit of luck.

I think the black cranks work, due to the saddle and hoods. Black bartape as well? Should be good.

Looking lovely....another beautiful Mercian!
Please be careful when clamping the top tube though! I know it's personal preference, but it makes me anxious inside when I see it.....the seat pin is stronger :0)

Yes, black bar tape.
Thanks for the top tube tip, didn't even pay attention to this so far. -

Please clamp it by the seatpost and not the top tube.
I failed to hit post, glad someone else made the same comment

very nice. I like the silver bar/stem arrangement.
why not 165mm cranks if that's what you're used to? I'm 5'6" and I use 165 on the road.....
