• I'm after a budget solution for streaming music and also attaching a turntable. What is there?
I've got some old speakers that I could use but would also consider something with active speakers.

  • I'd go with @fizzy.bleach 's suggestion. An old silverfaced, Japanese amp with a built in riaa, a turntable of similar vintage (or something like a entry level Pro-Ject) and a pair of matching speakers. I picked up a Pioneer SA-7500 for £10 and a pair of Scan Dyna A30's for £12 at the local charity shop. Chromecasts are ~£15 from Currys from time to time.

  • Yep, except the silver jap amps are no longer the bargains they were. Look for a good black Denon/marantz/pioneer and some mission 780/etc. Chrome cast and a rega.
