Back in '84 ish that was the top model IIRC. I think the frame and fork retailed at about £80. I had to make do with the burgundy/chrome gas-pipe special at £50 F&F. It looked the part and, as my first bike, got me mobile so i was happy.

My best mate has a real/sky blue hirame with the yellow text, think he paid around £40 for it but it was slightly ratty.

They are very nice to ride and from memory were supplied as framesets only
I have a 54cm Hirame framed bike in the mustard gold colour with chrome rear stays and chrome front forks.
I think the frame is the Kyoto super with Ishiwata 022 tubes, it was used in Majorca by a cycle shop owner who had it there, it's been used in the UK very little, it rides brilliant, does anyone know about these as I am possibly selling it to make way for a titanium bike.
