Essentially want to keep this a cheap ratty lightweight and most importantly not a vanilla build.
Frame
Super compact 2011 BMC SL01 in medium, an interesting mix of carbon and ALU and I believe this was their experimental phase so it will be interesting for me nonetheless.
Groupset
Something low profile like Force or Rival 22 or even 105.
Carbon leavers would be lovely and I would be happy even a mix of Shimano and SRAM parts if decently priced. Not too fussed about what the groupset is as long as it is good value (not 1st hand) and not any lower than 105.
Wheelset
As per not too fussed other than lighter than rs11s, so 1500g or lighter. I have my eye on these wiggle Cosine does anyone have experience with or for or against?
finishing kit
Left over bits from home. I have a few stems to try so will find the right length then go carbon. Arione saddle. wiggle lifeline tape (China carbon thread said good things about it).
First road build so open to suggestions/concerns/etc
