I don't get any of this...

Why it's got shifters, how it's staying upright for the photo, the seatpost, the saddle...?

Its got shifters because I had the bars and brakes with shifters already ...... bike was built on a budget . Well spotted though. May switch to aero base bars when have a few spare pennies
As for staying upright .... it lives in the recess by the fire when its not out on the road
