I can't speak for others, but I was talking about their use for studio rather than straight up listening pleasure. I also wouldn't recommend proper studio monitors for regular home listening.
As in near/midfield studio monitors designed specifically for the purpose of giving the most accurate representation of what's being passed through them... As opposed to hi fi speakers which often add colour to the sound.
