Much better, thanks!

Just go and get it faced. It's not too expensive, no harm done, and in the worst case your BB will live longer.

Yeah, that too. Better safe than sorry!

My V4. It gets ridden about 3 000 km a year as a commuter.

Pompinoids.
I'm considering putting a front rack (home-built, but similar to the Soma Porteur) on my Pomp and installing a flat bar. Currently it has the stock fork and drops.
Anyone done this and noticed the stock fork being unusually crap under front loads, and does anyone have a better suggestion of fork?
Your pal,
Fizzy

Agreed, I can remember these when they first came out and they were the balls... what's changed?

This is my #EC1 pimp Pomp. It is a bespoke custom steed with Italian heritage. Pompino means 'implied consent' in Italian.
Things to note:
A steel frame supports the commodities market - which as we all know took a huge hit Q1! - but a carbon fork shows I'm not afraid to sunset legacy material;
Mudguard keeps the street scum at bay;
Time Atac system instead of road cleats makes it easier to bow to foreign investors;
Gumwalls are the 'leather interior' of tyres;
No branding means I understand minimalist aesthetics;
23mm width alum rims not 21.5mm as although thatβs probably quite garish I'm not a monster.
Apologies for the photo, it was taken in the secure carpark. That is also not my Porsche by the way (no thanks!), my Maserati is just out of frame.

Did you have to spread the rear dropouts for the hub?

If I were looking for a disc compatible fork to use on my Pomp what spec should I look for (a2c, rake etc)?

What size frame is that? Was contemplating that very bag for my pomp ...

396 a2c 50mm offset. Kona p2 touring fork and surly long haul trucker fork both fit the bill if you want steel. Both have the blades drilled and tapped so much easier when it comes to fitting mudguards around the calliper.

Yep, large indeed. Might need to have a full cable outer over the brake though as the bag goes right across it...

Latest pics of mine. Questionable aesthetic choices throughout. When viewed from the side I realise how daft that cockpit is. Anyway, putting flat bars on soon.

If it makes you feel any better, I've since had the pomp powder coated and still run an external bb - that exact chainset. Still alive, but it's probably naughty.
