They were already advertising next year's gigs as being sans parfit while he was ill so I'd guess that the discussion was had and he told them to keep rocking all over the world.

Ah, shame about Rick Parfitt. So many of these old baby-boomer musicians seem to die in their late 60s. Seeing as he quite consciously carried on doing what he was doing, I doubt he'd find it terribly unjust, though. I've always liked Status Quo and I wonder if Rossi/they'll try to carry on without him. I hope not.
