It's likely that there's little need to bend the tubing to compensate for the wide tyres and narrow spacing, the clearance would be a bit tighter if it were 120mm with almost straight seatstay/chainstay.
Does Surly still do the Fixxer? you can probably just fit a 135mm hybrid wheels (Mavic A319/Shimano Deore hubs) and put the Fixxer on it to convert it into a fixed wheel.
