Might I add that the price we had agreed was for 80% of the groupset - and much less than he is offering on Ebay!!!

You've accused him of 'outright lying' but you don't seem to offer any proof. He's selling from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who knows what rules PayPal has about transferring funds to a B&H bank?

And his price is higher on eBay? So what?

TLDR, you couldn't agree on a form of payment. Get over it.

Actually it is in the LFGSS classified rules that a seller cannot demand direct transfer and must offer paypal.

So check yourself before you wreck yourself/wind your neck in.
