Basic excel work, powerpoints, taking to meetings etc.

I bought a cheap all in one hub thing off of Amazon which has usb 3, sd card reader, usb c and hdmi.

I ordered the apple own brand one. It appears from lots of the reviews that some of the other manufacturers ones are frequently faulty, and I need hdmi to work for doing presentations.
