I have one of the retina Macbook. Great battery life & super portable.

Depends what you're doing but if you've got an external screen, then PowerPoint etc is more than fine.

Basic excel work, powerpoints, taking to meetings etc.

Lack of ports not an issue?

I managed six months before I needed to buy a usb c > hdmi/usb adapter. Love my little MacBook, have used it way more than I thought I would.

I bought a cheap all in one hub thing off of Amazon which has usb 3, sd card reader, usb c and hdmi.
