It's a washer:
Which was binding the end-cap to the bearing and the inner face of the freehub:
As we can see when we look at the other face of the washer:
And now that the washer is removed everything works.
That's an MW079, I dunno if you should be messing with an MW079.
Needs about 1kg more grease. Acts like an inverse shim.
