Dibs the Ron's if they're folding

They're on the bike now, that's them in the picture! And they're rigid unfortunately.
I've got some Schwalbe CX Pro I bought for the Tricross I was selling but the buyer didn't want them...they're pretty basic though.

wow, didn't expect a track crankset to fit on that frame!

Yeah, nae bother, it's quite well crimped. It's only a 42t chainring though which helps I suppose.
The previous owner had also used Omniums so I knew I would work.
-
• #111758
can't go any smaller than 42t right?
-
• #111759
I think that's the smallest you can get on 144t.

There are 41s, but the chain would probably hit the spider on an Omnium, it barely clears on road cranks with slimline spider tabs.

Bought this a couple of months ago, and am now in the process of getting it ready for Christmas... Initially was going to leave it how it was but have started swapping parts out to make it less road-y. At least until he gets used to it being larger than his last bike. Would like it to have a black headset and crank arms but left it a bit late to start collecting parts :/. Can be a joint proj for the future I guess!

Nice, there is a certain simple elegance about lee coopers frames...

Yeah, it's got a nice vibe to it, I rode it for a few miles and it was comfortable despite being massively too small for me!
Don't think the silver bar is quite doing it justice... Has anyone got a black bar (maybe with a slight sweep and a bit of rise) that I could pick up in the next couple of days? 25.4 clamp size, 22.2 outer diameter..

I think that stem is trying to tell you you shouldn't be riding a lo-pro.

not to mention the 700c fork on a 650c frame.. such a shame..
-
• #111771
? Front wheel looks 650c to me

Should probably be 24"/600C

It's a 650c colnago cx fork and a Zipp 400. I've never seen the original fork.
I've seen pictures of Langdales with both 24" and 26" front ends so hard to tell.
Bottom bracket would probably drop too low with a 24" wheel.@tommmmmmm
Aren't ergo stems meant for optimum comfort?edit:
@mdcc_tester
My goal is something more like this:
I had some Rocket Rons in the shed after taking them off my commuter-cross, and the tyres I had before were shit.
Took off the Thomson post and put on a battered old 3T post with decals removed so it's a bit more stealthy/less stealable.
I'll give it a go on my commute tomorrow...
