Peukert's law (had no idea what it was called) shows the rough principle, but it does depend on battery chemistry. Certain chemistries (Li-ion in particular) are a little more tetchy than others when it comes to capacity and discharge rate.

Is anyone on here a full-on proper bona-fide solicitor? Need to ask family/friends too, just wondering if anyone on here has the pay-per-letter experience, so I can claim damages to bike from the collision yesterday.

I think @ojeffcott is the lawyer of choice on here. But don't worry about the pay per letter, just get a lawyer and they'll take their fee from the driver's insurance company.

What's up with UK Mail?
got a missed delivery card on tuesday, says they will try again next day. Yesterday, nothing. Tried to track my parcel on their website and it says "card ref not found". The ref is printed on the card with a bar code. Tried to fill in web form to contact them, and it won't let me as it doesn't recognise the card ref.
wtf?
this is my daughter's xmas present so i want to get hold of it.

Has anyone got an angle grinder suitable for Kryptonite removal who would be up for bringing it to SE1/Waterloo area?
-
• #81039
Sounds like the driver didn't scan the card properly to associate it with the parcel.

Seen a frame you fancy?

Could I remove the white graphics of a stem such as this, using acetone, and leave black ano underneath looking nice?

The tension pin/bolt on my oldest Brooks Professional has snapped so I've ordered a new one from Brooks. This won't be processed until at least the 6th Jan so I am left thinking about it. I have seen the instructions on how to do this on their website. Has anyone here done such a replacement? If so how was it?

The (new) end-cap of my hub is not getting on with the (new) freehub body.
Specifically the freehub cannot rotate freely - the end-cap tries to turn with it.
This means the wheel can freewheel, but there's enormous drag and you can't back-pedal as the cassette simply can't rotate backward, therefore the chain comes off.
It's a DT Swiss 180 hub, 11 speed road freehub with 10mm QR-thru-axle end caps.
What do I do to fix this?

Spacer

New bike.

Spacer
Potentially I could do this, I'd need to get the end cap off and I have no axle vice - how to do?
Exactly this.
