  • Yeah that's what I figured. New version of Windows 10 Pro is definitely better. I like the pin instead of password.

Did a @chrisbmx116 and installed it as UEFI so now have a nice slick dual boot with macOS. All good.

  • Feels good doesn't it? Did you buy a legit copy of Windows? Maybe I should stop running the trial and get some updates... whats the go to site for legit but cheaper than high street Windows keys?

  • I got this one https://www.scdkey.uk/microsoft-windows-10-pro-oem-cd-key-global_1227-20.html?&site=uk Seems to be working fine at the moment, gone through various Windows updates with no problem

  • Yup. As does Clover, it's exactly like using a real Mac now - everything works perfectly and I've even got a bootcamp style Clover theme. Updated to 10.12.2 last night and it couldn't have been smoother.

I bought Windows 8 Pro four years ago for £24.99 when Microsoft were trying to encourage uptake by discounting it. I think that was a pre-order. That got me a free upgrade to 10 Pro, then it's free to 'upgrade' from 32 bit MS to 64 bit.

Given MS will charge you £189 for 10 Pro and it's £59 on Amazon for OEM I reckon I got a good deal!
