  • Now you're talking! :)

  • Will split that cambridge audio lot if anyone wants just the speakers or the amp and cd?

  • Got any nice phono stages hanging around? :)

  • I am contemplating an upgrade, what are you after/budget?

  • Only built in to equally nice amplifiers ;)

Afraid i've never bought in to the whole external phonostage thing, it was just an excuse for manufacturers to remove phono inputs from amps and then charge you more in selling it separately in another box...

  • They come in handy though if you're using powered studio monitors and don't have/need an amp. :)

  • Haha. You cynical person you. As user67649 guessed, I run active monitors from a DAC - so need something I can whack into the analogue inputs.

I had half looked at getting a Hagerman Labs Bugle 2 (£150) to replace the cheapie Project Phono Box I have, so wouldn't spend more than that... and frankly it'd have to be something pretty awesome to tempt me away from the Bugle. This is to hook up to a 1210 mk2 with an AT440MLb, so nothing crazy special.

  • I'm looking at the Schiit Mani myself. About the same price, and seems very well respected.

  • Ah ok! Hadn't thought of that actually. My only experience is with a Cambridge Audio phonstage which sounded great, but not any different to the internal phonostage in the same series of integrated amplifiers.

Now if only I could find a second Genelec 1030A for the orphan one I have...

  • Really want that Tascam but don't need it and I'd never be able to get to you any time soon!

  • Well i'll make the decision abit easier and tell you it's sold. Crazy amount of people wanted it, I don't understand the hype to be honest

  • haha - it's cool to be analogue or something

people go mad for the effects you get of multiply bouncing tracks down as you add new ones on top

  • Technics SU-7300K - £180
    Technics SU-7700 £170
Bulbs in all the VU meters are working, these amps sound fantastic and are in excellent cosmetic condition.
