The more the merrier!
Hi folks,
As we know, the festive season is upon us and we all have different plans for this short period before we go back to work. However, if anyone is interested in starting their Rapha festive 500, to start off with I am planning to ride to Cambridge and back.
We will have stops for food, drinks and any mechanical, but ideally we want to limit these stops to finish this ride asap, as I know people will have plans during the evening for their xmas events (shows how exciting my life is atm). This will hopefully get a few mileage in before the guilt of the festive day start with the all the xmas food in our belly.
Obviously I am not asking everyone is ride there and back, if people aren't confident or don't feel like they're up to the task, you can always get the train back to King's Cross.
Also as this will be my first lead ride, we will have the usual forum getting lost and finding my bearings where we are on google maps.
Please be aware that this ride will be a early start (and unlike previous forum rides we will be leaving on the dot). Whoever wants to join please come ontime as we ideally want to get out of London traffic before the manic rush hour weekend starts.
The route is pretty much the same of previous forum HHSB rides up to Cambridge, and we will be riding the same route back to keep us getting lost to a minimum.
On a final not as this is pretty much a flat ride, so ideally we would like Fixed or SS to keep the pace consistent. If you do come along with a road bike please don't bomb ahead and set KOM/QOM (do that in your own time)
Look forward to seeing you guys on Saturday.
