  • In general, most of the tubeless tyres I have seen and fitted are noticably stiffer/heavier, but still more comfortable and smoother after running tubeless.

The Switchback Hill of mine, isn't heavy at all, and appear to be a normal construction, it's still exceedingly comfortable to ride with tube, I can see why they recommend a certain sealant with it because the sidewall are very supple with them.

  • @edscoble -I'm thinking about the Switchback or Babyshoe for a new build. Did you go for the Extralight? I'm sure you probably mentioned a few pages ago but I can't be arsed to scroll back.

  • Hopefully there are some mudguard mounts on the front.

  • There's a small number of rando nerds in my area, most if not all of them have run the Babyshoe Pass tubesless with mixed results. Weepy sidewall and/or burps seem to be on a case-by-case basis.

My CP is going to run Babyshoe standards on a tubessless DT rim, but I haven't yet decided if I want to invest in trying them tubesless right away.

  • Got me a 650b Cinelli Hobootleg for 2017 adventures. Popped on a pizza rack / wald basket (and a bit of festive tinsel). Fantastic bike, really really enjoyed riding her around. Dare I say it, way more than my old Surly Straggler. Got some 2" Big Ben's on and making do with some SKS P65's. Can anyone recommend any decent 650b x 65mm(ish) fenders in Black? Looked at the Sim Works ones but they're out of stock. Can't seem to find any other black ones in the right size!

  • pizza rack ftw, well done

  • What's the go to for light, rim brake 650b rims?

  • HED, pacenti

  • The Grand Bois one is a perfect round rims.

The new Pacenti Brevet look good and address the issues with the old 385g one.

  • I got Bees!

Plenty space for some mudgaurds as well. I am just a spacer and a couple of disc rotors away... Sigh

  • It slowly looking almost like my Elephants.

  • I have spare rotots I think

  • I have rotors they are just on the wheels you are buying, which were at home...

  • Oh so its lucky I have spares then!

  • @Hulsroy looking good

  • rotots

I misread this as robots, and was wondering where you got an army of them.

  • Well I work in IT so it's not totally implausible

  • Thank you. Pretty annoyed I can't finish and ride it until Jan 4th

  • Small wheel ride!

  • Weekender conversion complete. Taken for a razz round Dunstable Downs this morning and it was mint! Need to tweak the brakes as the housing is a bit short on the rear.

  • De-tubed the Horizons on Christmas Eve. Went up ridiculously easy with a track pump but didn't hold air overnight. After a couple of rides and a few tops ups they were fine today. Seem to roll better now but still pretty sluggish (part of that is post-fever/lack of miles in legs, hard to say how much is the rubber)

  • Did you Macc supa x? If so how'd you get on?

  • I called by to watch the vets race, didn't race in the end as mates couldn't make it
