Still haven't decided for the stem and bars. Don't like these, hence no bartape. Was watching a Cannondale stem and bars on eBay but forgot about the auction and let them go. Same with a Deda Zero set. Forgotten and gone. Need to set myself a reminder.
What I am looking for is some sleek stem, 90mm with 6-10 degree angle. Preferably as black as it gets. Also compact bars 420mm. Any recommenadtions?
Haven't put the bike on the scales yet as not finished, but really hoping it will stand around 7.5kg. fingers crossed

Try using Gixen.com
You can also group, so if you want bars and are watching 3 sets you can have snipes for all 3.

Almost finished - need narrower bars (44cm ATM), probably shorter as I am a bit stretched now I believe, also SLR saddle as this one a bit too firm for more than 1.5-2h and want some 50mm aero's.
Stiff as hell, freewheel is probably the loudest I've ever heard.
Comes in at 8kg w/pedals according to my simple scales.
I'd love to shed the weight down to the magic 6.8kg so need your advice what would be the best ways to save grams/pounds? Obviously as cost efficient as it gets :)
Any comments welcome

Got some C2 42cm bars on, C1 seatpost as well as (woop wopp finally) Planet X 60/60mm Carbon Tubulars w some Tufo S33 Pro 24 tyres. Yet to test them out, but already loving the looks and THAT noise, oh my.
Will try to shoot some decent pictures when weather gets better and I go for a spin.

Thanks mate! Quite happy myself too to be honest.
This might be the (almost) final incarnation of the bike as it is now. Maybe I'll get a more padded saddle at some point and some RED cranks.
Rough calculations are telling me it's not very cost effective to invest any more.Full spec list (as a memo to myself and in case someone's interested).

How you finding those tubs?

They seem alright so far mate. Can't tell much difference in grip compared to 4 seasons. They do roll better but I am guessing this is due to me being generous with pressure and pumping them to 105 psi. Bike feels VERY stiff bottom to the top. I'll get a proper pump as mine died and try 90-95-100 psi setups. Hopefully they won't come off haha

Went on a short meditational pre-sleep ride last night (an hour at 14mph) around town and due to the fact the bike has sat for about two weeks the pressure must have dropped a bit so the tyre/wheel setup is WAY more supple. Can't tell the exact pressures as I'm a skint guy and can't afford a fancy pump/gauge, but must be some 10-15 psi drop.
Happy days! Well.. nights -

Oh my. First puncture. No pump. No sealant. 7 miles away from the car. Unlucky.
Oh what a nice calming walk lol.
Anyways, anybody had any experience with TUFO Extreme Sealant? Ordered two bottles will keep one with the bike now.
Also any tiny bikebags? Just to keep the sealant and maybe small multitool/cartridge pump? -

Any suggestions for a good value pedals? Currently got some Exustar E-PR16 which would probably be replaced with the Look Carbon Arc's I was planning on selling in my other thread...but come Christmas might treat the CAAD with something lighter?
Cheerio

Lifeline from Wiggle are less than £20, they're lighter than Look keo max 2, and they don't spin round if you don't get clipped in the first time.

Woah. Fitted the gruppo and had to redo the cables as managed to ruin both.
Shifting nice and smooth only little concern is whether I'm good enough for 11-28 cassette after 11-32 I had before.
Haven't got no scales handy but hopefully should see some low 7kg something.
Must be the very final iteration of the bike now. Will get some lighter pedals and that should be it.
Well maybe a flite saddle. And a carbon seatpost. Yeah and then that's it.

That thing is obscene, I've always liked them but want one even more now!
Been a while and busy with other stuff.
Just got the cranks in last night...but...the bearings don't seem to be spinning smoothly..? Ie I can definitely feel the rough action which does not really seem right to me...
What could be the cause? I'll probably be taking it to the LBS that got the bearings in to see some time later
