  • In our part of town, Clapton FC provides a reasonable alternative to DHFC. That said, one of my daughters went with chums to watch the game last Saturday only to discover that there was a fan boycott underway. So they joined in boycott and the singing outside the ground and had a great time.

Apparently only 17 people went in to watch the game while a couple of hundred stood outside.

  • The boycott has been really effective in terms of gaining attention and how well it's been observed, though I can't see it actually working with Vince.

Three home games in a row as well, I'm looking forward to Wednesday at FC Romania.

Tell your daughter to follow Clapton FC news on twitter so she can find out if the game's on. Their articles are really good too:

At the first boycotted game there was a guy from Germany visiting his girlfriend who'd known about Clapton FC for ages and was devastated he couldn't go in. I got him a scarf and one of the Italians gave him a beer and he watched through the fence.

  • Louisa said that she really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was brilliant and very friendly. I think she probably enjoyed it more than she would have the match. When she goes there it is more for the crowd than the football.

  • new heights of plasticity
