  • It's my 4th rossin pista frame and finally about right size. I had a 59, then a 54, then 58 and now a 55,5cm. I'm 181cm (whatever it's in imperial system) so a 56 could be the "perfect" match so close enough. If I wanted a more classic fit, the 58 could be it but this is for the street so good for now.

Overall it's my about 12th rossin frameset including the pursuit and some road frames but I just wanted a Pista.

Build was easy, just had to choose if I want a c-record or super record pista gruppo as I have a couple of each laying around. Wheelset for now is a china carbon wheelset but after I find a sheriff wheelset or hubset, I'll probably assemble a carbon set on those, probably with slimmer and lighter carbon rims.

So all parts c-record, stem is a chromix and bar is monkey lite carbon riser. Saddle is a flite Ti.

  • Get a bike fit instead of buying the wrong sized bike over and over again.

  • How'd you get unbanned?

  • I actually know my size but these do not come around so often so I took every chanse :D Now I have a good fit :)

  • I had a little conversation and promised not to sell stuff here to avoid conflicts so I got my account back :) Now I just focus on riding and projects

  • Good lad.

I had a white Rossin Pista way back.

    More here

    It was fun.

Secured a set of shamals to the project. I also bought 1st gen c-record pista crankset that I'll throw into the bike. I think I'll buy another rossin so that I get to use my super record pista gruppo on some bike as well.

  • Got some 1st gen pista cranks also.
    C-record pista, 1st gen
    C-record pista, 1st gen

  • I had a 59, then a 54, then 58 and now a 55,5cm.

    Please post pictures.

  • Okay, I'll post when home

  • Okay, so my frist frame was a white rossin record pista size 59c-t:

It had the sweet testapiatta fork:

Here is a pic of similar frame from Finland also but not my frame or build:

My second one was size 54,4cm square:

This one was rare as it actually came from Italy in recent years. Usually all the pistas are from Finland already as we seem to have a shitload of those.

    My third one was this:

    Stretching my tubulars

  • Stretch your chances of not having children with that saddle angle.

  • The flite is best with some erection position. Your ass rests nicely on the bucket. If it's levelled you just slip forward

  • Best if one doesn't ride with a hard-on and certainly don't let your donkey rest on a bucket - or the RSPCA will be informed !

  • Project is going

  • That saddle doesn't look right on it.

  • Black Flite would be better

  • Yeah, I'm looking for black or white flite, and I have something else still coming for this build

Got some new wheels with sheriff hubs and slim carbon tubular rims. Hope the rim shows in the pic. Also got concor sprint for the saddle.

  • Love the blue of the frameset. Great build!

  • Really nice. Love the wheels.

  • Well built, nice!

  • First of all thanks for anyone following and thanks for the compliments.

Then for the serious matter. I have to admit that when the project is on, I can't do rational things. I hoped that I could have built a nice bike on the streets. Well it came up nice and I'm happy on the end result as far as period correct parts and style goes but at the same time I'm angry for myself as tubulars, track drops and the rest of the build is not street friendly.

This brings me back to the project, Rossin pista, but this time for streets. Being angry I sourced another pista frame for myself. The blue one is 56cm c-c horizontal (maybe 55,5cm but who gives a fuck) and c-c for seat tube is 56cm flat. For the new one corresponding dimensions are 56cm and 56,5cm so it's pretty close to the same size.

Unfortunately I almost overshot it again. Full super record pista this time. Gladly I do not want to ruin the NOS pedals and the wheels are clinchers so I just need to find street friendly drop bars for my rossin pantograph stem and that's it. Also SPD pedals are coming for this bike. Maybe I can source myself a cinelli champion del mondo drops which have the most usable hand position on the top part of the bars. For now I'm settling for pro craft compact drops as I found used set near me for cheap and I like the compact style of drop bar.

    Here are some pics:

The frameset came with c-record headset with those plastic/rubber rings. It's a later model before the same style record headset. I think I'll end up using that instead of the super record pista headset as the stack height of the steerer is set for the c-record which is longer than the super record headsets stack height and I do not want to go through the trouble of cutting the steerer for now.
