Is there a go-to list of what to include and discuss when briefing a designer/developer team on a new website?

For a slightly more DIY approach. A very wide band shortwave radio in a web browser. Lots of fun listening to various country's propaganda broadcasts and Russian numbers stations. -

Both those radio ones are ace scanning through a tuner long wave fm and medium wave is something i used to love doing as a kid with my shitty little radio tape player and was fascinated that i could pick up foreign broadcasts in long wave, thanks @Colonel_of_Truth and @dicki for sharing

Google 'kick off a web design project'
Designers thread probably for better answers, but usually
- background and context to the project
- project management approach - key dates / times and how you expect the project to work
- who's gonna use it (the audience)
- what the site has to achieve
- core functionality you expect
- sites that are similar that you / client think represent good
-- if you use Google or Facebook here your designer can and should cock-punch you - brand guidelines and design direction
- technical standards they must meet
- other constraints they must meet
- background and context to the project

Dredging this up for any more recommendations - I like this place, browsing the Radavist but not taking it too seriously, and mid-length reads about varied subjects, current affairs or otherwise. I'm not looking for the latest instant news (in fact I can't stand rolling news) but pieces on topical issues are good, and from various standpoints. I've found that I stick in the same loop of 4-5 sites and would like to broaden my reading!
Any other cycling things you like would be good as well, but also much more general than just bikes. Quite a vague remit, I admit.
In hopeful thanks...

Longreads weekly 'top 5' email is a good selection of long form articles from different outlets. All sorts of different topics.

https://kottke.org/ is great for general 'interesting' things on the internet. Currently taking a break but there's an incredible back catalogue and most of it is not hugely topical.
