I hope so... I just need to sort out my work contract then I will very actively look to buy, no more casually looking like I have done this past year...
A bit of a sod story, the flat got broken into a couple of weeks back and I think this has pissed her off a big time (nothing to do with me), as it's the 2nd time since I've lived here, alongside with the freeholder / owner of upstairs having been a dick for years. I'd sell if I were her, but I wouldn't if I were her...
Would she have to tell me if she were just remortgaging?
Not straightly an owning a home question, but since you guys have to deal with banks, mortgage, remortgage etc, thought it's worth asking. So my landlady wants to have some estate agents round to have a look, I don't think it's rent related since I have been here for 8.5 years, so it would make sense to have a chat with me if she wanted more money... my guess is she wants to sell... but any other reason why she would want agents round? She asked me once in March and nothing happened, then she is asking again... A colleague said it might have something to do with remortgaging hence a new valuation, someone said the letting / renting laws have changed since April, and it might require a new valuation etc... but if it's nothing to do with selling / renting related, would it still be a job for an estate agent? Shouldn't it not be a job for the bank?
On a different note (will be cross-posting on the other thread whatever is called), anyone knows anywhere going for a person + an outdoor cat, give me a shout, doesn't hurt to start looking just in case...
