I get it, if the fork is prepared for it - but this is the functional bike thread isn't it? This seems like a perfectly functional solution. Personally I'd prefer internal cable routing all the way.
The solution I posted requires no preparation of the fork and given that the fork in question has more braze ons than I've had hot dinners anyway.
Hiding the wiring up the inside of the fork would be more functional, as it is there's risk it could get caught and torn out.
I guess. But as it is a Blue Lug bike, it might be a customer request..
