Around 3K to buy and insurance is far less than the 1L citroen I had before but I can tell you already that finding big enough parking spaces is a bit of a pain. At least on my street.
People really do get out of the way for it, probably partly because it's so beaten up and has probably the worlds most solid bumper and bullbar ever on the front.

Well first day of defender ownership has been good.
It drives exactly how one would expect, I got round to opening up the fuse box and replacing a few but I've still not gotten to hazard/indicator circuit but hoping to do that tomorrow.
I did nearly scalp the thing in a multi-story carpark...
