Not sure, but lightweight butyl was plentiful with those.
It's the extralight model, with 333g, and a max psi of 75.

Since I've discovered that I can do without tubes I've become a big fan of tubeless- would prefer to use tyres that worked that way.

Rotors.

I figure that, the 38mm tyres I have would be a good way to look at how the clearance is with the Time Machine.

I run U shape LB rims on my CAAD10 disc tubeless, went up easy and been fine for over a year. Also just set up some GRavel King 650b (1.75) tubeless to run on my niner rlt and these also went up easy even though they aren't suppopsed to be tubeless but I'll only be running them low pressure so should be fine. They also so a 1.5
I also 'don't' do tubes anymore if I can help it.

I ran a pair of Challenge tyres tubeless, they went up fine but then the sidewall started oozing sealant, then the sidewall failed - how have you found the Strada Bianca? I have a spare pair of those in a bag I could mount up if they've worked for you.

Sorry to confuse, I ran the Stradas with tubes but changed to Schwalbe Ones (pro ones, G ones) which I ran tubeless with no problems - I wouldn't risk non-tubeless specific tyres over 50psi.

Where the Challenge tyres tubeless compatible? Running tubeless on any old rim is fine if it seals, but I wouldn't use any old tyre.
-
• #7211
Nope, they weren't, I thought I'd try it anyway.
-
• #7212
lesson learnt, use tubeless tyres.

• #7213
And if there had been or was currently an equivalent tubeless tyre I would have done, but there isn't. As far as I am aware, anyway.

What were they?

Challenge seem to be ignoring the tubeless market entirely. Which given their popularity in the cyclocross world, seems odd.

Oh, the ones I had go rotten? The white Challenge CX tyres, whatever they are.

or one made for Paris-Roubaix

Neither of those are available in gum-wall, I ended up with Shwalbe which have been great, bar the aesthetic consideration. The Mavics look shit.

Not that it's anything to do with CX but Curve's new G4 wheels are also non-tubeless compatible now.
If I wait long enough I won't need to worry about being 'off trend' with my old fogie tube choices.

I am struggling to work out why you'd pick a tubed tyre over a non-tubed one, what's your reasoning on this?
-
• #7222
Because gooey stuff?
-
• #7223
The sealant? I take the valve core out, use a big syringe barrel and inject it, put the valve core back in, done.
-
• #7224
But that is the good bit
I have tyres that have repeatedly punctured and sealed themselves when usually I'd have had to replace multiple inner tubes.

Don't even need removable cores, just slash the tube and Rema Tip Top that shit
Can run tubeless?
