There's a alu 650b frame in the planetX sale atm for £64 or something. Is it reasonable to end up around the £500 mark or not? These bouncy forks are really expensive and the full build px has around the same frame is £799. Weird maths when you're used to road/track bikes, usually the frame is a bigger part of the final cost. I did build a retro 26" mtb up a year ago for not much money but this one had better be a modern functional thing I think.

Maybe, but what's the point when you could walk out of a shop with a Kona and a warranty for the same money?
