The 'll' on seat tube is so, so good

Yeap :)
Currently a bit stuck on the build. Want to use it as a road bike, so need to splash out for a road groupset (ideally, modern carbon Chorus or smthn). But also looking to get a cool wheel for the rear, ex: full carbon HED disc, so this will dictate the number of gears in a way - we all know how these vintage discs are... Might build it up temporarily with some Sram Apex bits I have also. Ah, decisions :)

I didn't realise the Cheribum was 24"...
Looks great, brakes match well.

What is the attraction of small wheeled bikes? Is there a discernible difference in handling/cornering/riding experience etc?
-

Can't comment on riding/handling just yet, but the attraction for me is purely of an irrational character, being different? Too different, I guess... :)

Initial idea of using 24" wheels was around smaller rotational weight and better aerodynamics. For track bikes, it was also considered an advantage that team riders could ride closer to each other due to smaller wheel size

That looks pretty rad!

No I didn't - thanks for heads-up!
Unf track tho... -

Well you know, slave hipster points...

Gotcha! Looking forward to the build and hearing how it rides.

Risers and 1x10 is the answer.
Those maguras are sweet.

Rephrased as a direction rather than a question...
DO IT!
Would be amazing.

Yeah, those frankenbrakes are something
Stupidly enough, don't a have a riser bar to fit the quill stem currently :(( -

So, finally scrapped some pennies for cheapest hubs (Shimano Sora/Claris) and Apex groupset. Will aim to lace the wheels in the next couple of days and see where this takes me :)

Looks like the ideal application!

Which rims? I've bought a 24" road bike for my son, but still looking for wheels.
Can't say I felt as if I were riding a shooting star or something, but at least the fit felt refreshingly nimble, quick and sporty (esp after riding AWOL and ful-sus for about a year). I'm pretty sure I will be able to ride without a whole lot of back pain and maybe with only little bit of neck pain... :)
