Hillingdon wasn't the most extreme conditions or the most advanced course I have ridden, but I managed 24th (19th affiliated) and it felt great to be back on tubs and sscx.
Had a killer first lap, bonked a bit towards the end of the race and crashed on an off camber with 3 laps to go, shook it of regained a couple of lost spots.
You should've come to Frylands! Was very muddy and slick, with some really tricky corners. A tough hill to climb at the start of every lap though, so not ideal on singlespeed.
or geared bikes in my case......I'm just glad to have got through the race without falling over
My cunning plan to ride and clear out the remnants of man flu may by riding yesterday may not have been my one of my best , I feel like I've been run over by a steam roller.
