I guess we'll see when it's all done.... I normally have a really good idea of how my projects (my own stuff and commisioned work) will come together as a build, but I really have no idea how this one is gonna go at this stage! I considered putting a 3mm red square/rectangular pinstripe around the stainless Talbot headbadge on the headtube to mimic the gti front grill, but again thought it would be OTT. I couldn't resist using a little VW logo instead of a '#' and the VW font for the #savethefrontmech joke on the mech clamp. That will be the only direct reference to VW, and you'll hardly see it once it's built.
I've got half the parts here, and Matts got the groupset and a few other bits with him. Matt wants to build it and get some fancy photos taken. I'm gonna send everything over to him next week. No idea if it will end up in the porn or anti porn thread til then! It will deffo be on trend..... that much I'm sure of!
One thing I have learned is that doing simple paint schemes is just as hard as the crazy shit I normally do, as any imperfections are so much more noticeable!
