Owning your own home

There have already been a lot of great offers for donations of goods, which is awesome. We will hopefully know more later today or tomorrow what is needed.

There have also been a few offers for cash donations. Again, this is amazing and really appreciated. Originally I was hesitant to take money and I do think that a donation to a charity is just as awesome as this person relied on those a lot this last year or so.

However, it's becoming more apparent that there might be things that money will help solve more quickly (utilities, certain clothing that cannot/should not be bought 2nd hand etc.) Also, the number of people who have offered money (here and from mrs_com's circles) mean that the amount offered will make a big difference very quickly.

So if anyone does want to chip in, I can give you my Paypal details. I will let people know what the money was used for, show receipts etc and if there is any money left over, return it to the donors or pass it on to a relevant charity.

I don't use my Paypal account for anything else at the minute so it is not going to be absorbed into my cheap consumer electronics habit.

Offers of stuff are still also cool.
