I had a Pomp where geometry changed quite a bit when adding a 400mm ac fork. It wasn't very nimble in 180 turns, but on the other hand it was very comfortable on descents.

Was it ever nimble with original fork?

I just won this on eBay, no idea what I'm going to do with it but it was listed terribly so got it cheap. Does anyone know anything about it?

It's a mid-90s (1996, I think) Trek Mountain Track, right? Might be American made True Temper OX frame, which is solid. STX groupset. These were really good entry level mtb bikes back in the day.

It's nice to see steel 26 mtb's making a comback about 20 years after being put out to pasture.

Speaking of 90s steel 26ers, I'm collecting one of these today:

Don't get a 30.9 until you've measured properly and are absolutely certain that it's what you need. There doesn't seem to be much evidence that System Sixes used anything other than 31.6 or 27.2, depending on the year/version.

Thanks for checking. I couldn't find much either but I've 2 31.6s and they're just slightly too big with the clamp completely removed and I found this thread, admitidely only one person who says 30.9 and the seller I bought from tried to sell me a 30.9 to use with it

I've got a Disc Trucker fork that takes big tyres, I'd have to check it's 700c though.

It's a system six, the half aluminium, half carbon one, has the SI headset and whatnot so I doubt it's a fake.
