Cameras on Exton (an arts club), Secker (large building facing Church) and Alaska (just beneath the station on left if driver went that way) streets may be worth a look, as well as on the White Hart.

Well there we are... Without the plate, the police won't even investigate.
Also, not given any reference number until the road traffic unit receives the form and contacts me.
So I can't even talk to insurers either.
I didn't realise things were this bad if you're a victim of a hit and run.

Camera's on adjacent roads aren't going to be of a great deal of help unless something can be found proving they were the car in question.
Someone really needs to get down to the area, scope all of the buildings within sight and ask any which have CCTV that could have recorded the incident to save the relevant footage. With some cameras recording on a 24h cycle, that really needs to be done before 20:00 tonight. A call should probably also be made to Lambeth Council to ask if they have any camera's covering that area.

Also cameras on Kings College Building ahead of your 'interrupted' journey, unlikely to be close enough but may have clocked car turning left onto Cornwall Rd, this one below likely to be pointing in your direction ish ...

Well ... yes ... but if unconnected bystander is willing to testify car hit & run, maybe even intentionally, and positive id for car can be cross-matched with VRN, there's a chance any further sightings on adjacent roads will support testimony that car buggered off and turned left ...

Camera here might have caught it: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5056995,-0.1113999,3a,15y,335.76h,91.54t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1staEKOXdMRI_RSLOYeAQsIA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

I would suggest dropping letters through all the doors along there - someone might have seen something.

surely you need to look at the cctv yourself, get the licence plate, then report it. witness corroborates, police don't need to know you got the plate from CCTV rather than at the time (ideally CCTV will show incident). throw the book at them, bosh.

I don't really do much in the way of social media, but this seems the ideal place..... Did you mention to the police who took your statement, and are not going to actively pursue it, so it seems, that you are the owner/founder/administrator of one of the largest cycling forums in the UK? Could the pc from the task force not have a word with the relevant departments? Can we all not just bombard various Twitter accounts with relevant questions, that if left unanswered would make em squirm???

This^ and this^^

That camera is likely to be pointed west or north along the building, the one I posted will more likely be pointing at site of collision maybe, and at driver's turn onto Cornwall Road.

Is Aaron down there? Anybody else free to go investigate?

Horrible news. Take good care of yourself and heal up soon.

Have found some potential CCTV locations and given the details directly to the bossman.

You came in as an alert on my phone last night. I don't have any details and we have no CCTV there sadly. We have time as 21:17 and you slowed traffic for a while... #bloodycyclists

There are emails about this incident here. If you called our customer services they might be able to release them to you, or you could FOI it. I can't send it to you as it's restricted. We obviously don't know who was driving or the plate, but the fact that a report exists might be enough to kick police into action?

#WTFIGO?!
Although to be fair, when I was left-hooked with a witness and a number plate, they were only interested 2 months later when they had the driver on a separate drug related charge.
Had a wonderfully leading question during my statement - "when you were knocked off did you anything strange from the car?" lolwut -

Feel free.
I'm going to go back over this thread and remove bits I've got wrong and speculated on, and try and get a lot closer to fact so that it's a decent enough record of events.

Did you get my email ok? Let me know if you need to go back to any of the places for more detailed info
