Nothing's tougher, mate... 😎🌞
Nah, never seen a Hard Yukka store out here... I probably won't buy a pair tbh, gonna try wearing my dyed black 8804 Redwings with shorts instead... A strong Aussie look... I am super tempted tho'...

Hard Yakka is all over NZ, it's good stuff. Still have a pair of their work trousers. Although I would say that Cactus is tougher than Hard Yakka...
For proper Aussie you need RM Williams everything, surely? Including an RM Williams sticker on the rear window of your sick 1993 Commodore ute.

Think I'm going to have to bow out, I think slightly too small and can't really justify the spend. @TheShipwright all yours

Not a shoe question but probably the best thread...
I have a nice lamb skin leather jacket, its starting to dry out and grey around the elbows.
Any suggestions on where to take it for some leather protection and a freshen up?
or products recommended for DIY
thanks

Saddle soap for cleaning then chuck some dubbin on it... Be careful tho', sounds delicate...

Buy leather oil, not dubbin if you can help it.

Pretty easily, a small flat bladed screwdriver to prise up the back prongs, and then pliers to pull them off. you can buy eyelets easily enough.

On the subject of monkey boots. I have no idea where the name came from but the old Czech army boots were popular in the 70s and 80s worn by skinheads and alternative types. You can still buy them but I can't remember the last time I saw anyone wearing them. They were really cheap too. Something like a tenner in the late 80s and lasted a fair while.

If it's black then try Rustin's leather recolouring balm. Has kept a pair of leather trousers of mine going for years.

My wolverines turned up, and I was a bit worried, as I bought them without trying on and sized one size down (from a 9 to an 8), but they are absolutely perfect! I'm ducking properly made up!

There are some bloody nice tall (mid-calf-ish?) Red Wing boots with practically zero use in To Be Worn Again in Brighton for £85. Unfortunately at a size 9 they're just too small for me ;_;

Anyone here size 8F in Church's?
Too small for me, had planned to wear hipster sockless, but too tight in the wrong places.
They've been worn in the rain as the leather heels show, and would recommend to strip with isopropyl and oil before polishing (can do this for you) as the finish looks a bit uneven up close.
Not sure on pricing, nothing dear though.

Anyone know where I could get red wing 405 work boots from? Can't find them online anywhere and my work boots are falling apart again so thought I'd try them.

Any recommendations for laces? I keep snapping some of mine.

These are tough if a little slippery.
If you tie them the right way, not a problem.
